Frequently Asked Questions

Driving while microdosing is possible. Nonetheless, in terms of use, the responsibility for making such a decision is totally up to you. We recommend not to drive a car when you take a microdose for the first time or if you have the feeling that you’ve taken a too high dose.

However, if you take the right dose, it will improve your focus and visual acuity which in turn may improve your ability to drive.

So, the first experiment for you is to test what’s too much or too little. As soon as the microdosing is too overwhelming, you have taken too much and should definitely not participate in traffic.

You should always be careful when taking your first microdose. Factors like your weight, height, age, fitness all play a part in your tolerance. In addition, just like caffeine and alcohol, psilocybin has a stronger effect on your body if you consume it on an empty stomach. So also base the amount of your microdose on how much you have already eaten.

The six Microdose Pro strips all contain 1 gram each.   For most people 1g is the right amount, but if you are nervous then take half and then if you feel fine after an hour, then take the other half.

If you have taken too much, nothing bad will happen to you. You may only notice that you become less focused or productive because the effect of the truffle is too dominant. The main rule is that microdosing should help you focus and concentrate on your work. So in order not to stray off course, it’s better to start with a low dose and build up gradually over time as you become more confident. The challenge of microdosing is to find your personal sweet spot dose that let’s you enter in to the flow state.

In fact, the truffle is called “sclerotium” (sclerotia in plural). A sclerotium is a thickening of the mycelium, which, as an organ, is used by a mushroom to store its resources. Funny thing is that the truffles look like small nuts.

Sclerotia are part of the life cycle of the fungus and their function is to store nutrients so that the mushroom can survive bad conditions. Think of a shortage of water, extreme temperatures, or excessive moisture.

Due to their effect, psilocybin truffles are also called magic truffles. Basically they are exactly the same product we sell as microdoses at FLOW. The ‘magic’ happens through the psychedelic effect, which is experienced more intensely when taking higher doses.

When taken with a conscious intention in a responsible manner, with our micro dosages it’s like you’re taking a piece of controlled magic every time. Mainly to be more productive and creative than you normally already are.

Our service is optimized in such a way that you can start microdosing as soon as possible. Your order will be packed in a package that fits through a normal letterbox at all times. This way, the process will not be delayed in the event that you are unable to receive it.

To maintain the effects and potency of fresh truffles, it’s best to keep them in the refrigerator. When sealed (vacuumed), they will remain good for up to two months.

As long as you keep them in a cool, dry, and dark place, such as your refrigerator, you will minimize the risk of rot or a reduction in their psilocybin content. In the end, we’re just talking about a fungus here. Therefore, the storage of the psychedelics requires a temperature between 2 and 4 degrees C.

Avoid freezing at all costs and leave the strips in their packaging, as the refrigerator can collect excessive moisture. In view of contaminants, this causes damage to the mushrooms, which won’t do your experience any good.

Microdosing is completely legal in The Netherlands because magic truffles (Psilocybe Tampanensis) grow out of the ground. Due to this natural process, the firmer and drier psychedelic fungus is not seen as a mushroom and therefore does not fall under the mushroom law.

However, with their entry on list 2 of the Opium Act, magic mushrooms (not truffles) are prohibited to grow, sell, or buy in the Netherlands. This is because the chemical compounds in the two natural products, ‘psilocin’ and ‘psilocybin’, are on list 1 of the Opium Act.

The microdose truffles are cultivated and carefully packaged in the Dutch countryside. The production is 100% natural and is never processed. From the earth into our actual packaging dosed meticulously.

Lion’s Mane is an extract of both the fruit body and the mycelium of the Wig fungus (Hericium erinaceus). Bioactive substances include polysaccharides, Hericenones and erinacins.  Its also mixed with Rowan Berry as  natural preservative.

Natural Psilocybe is a Psilocybin containing sclerotia, also known as “magic truffle”. The species is known as Psilocybe Pajateros.   Its dried and packaged and contains nothing else.

Sclerotia is part of the network that fungi (Mycelium) form at specific stages of their life cycle. When winter arrives, it retreats to the soil to survive and form sclerotia from the mycelium. It fills with nutrients, water and fungal spores so that it can survive in extreme environmental conditions, cold, dry or wet weather until the favorable growth conditions return. After this, a mushroom can form. Flow only uses the sclerotia.

The medications recommended for ADHD cannot be associated with the microdosing cycle. Our customers experience very good results without medication using our followed protocol. Ritalin (methylphenidate) acts, among other things, on the D2 dopamine receptors and neurons in the amygdala (this regulates stress and emotion, among other things). The drawbacks and consequences are that it can be addictive and confuse the amygdala and cause anxiety and nervousness.

Many people diagnosed with ADHD experience that the microdosing helps to give more balance and peace of mind. In addition, it is also experienced that more focus and concentration can take place. We recommend taper off with Ritalin before starting your microdosing cycle. Please consult with your doctor if you would like to know how to start tapering off. A tip that we would like to give you is to start with meditation at the beginning or end of your day. The body scan as described in our guides is a good start.

We recommend that you do not use any other drugs during your microdosing month. It is important to stop taking other drugs 3-7 days in advance so that the body can rest and come into natural balance.

Yes, we suspend our tinctures in alcohol.  This enables us to preserve it for longer.   If you do NOT want to consume any alcohol, then please select the truffles option in the product selection OR select apple cider vinegar for the microdose tincture (NEW),

Don’t worry, the tincture is weak and drinking all of it will give you a macrodose.

We do NOT recommend this but in the event of this, make sure you are in a safe place and relax & enjoy for a 3-4 hours.  Do NOT attempt to drive.

No, we send our packages tracked but not signed, so it will be posted regardless if you are home or not.  Almost all of our products are designed to fit into a padded envelope that will fit through your letterbox.

The first time you take the tincture OR truffle, we recommend taking it at night, about an hour before you go to bed. This is so you can gauge if the dosage is right for you.  If it feels too strong, then lower the dose the next time you take it.

Generally, we prefer to microdose in the morning and include the lions mane, niacin and microdose as part of your morning routine.  This can have a great performance enhancement if you like to exercise in the morning.

No, you dont NEED it, at all. Many people don’t like the ‘flush’ you get when you take Niacin, but it is part of the process.

Paul Stamets reports that the majority of neurogenesis occurs in the nerve extremities; since niacin works as a flushing agent and causes vasodilation (expansion of the blood vessels), it has the potential to carry the molecules of other compounds across the blood-brain barrier and into the farthest reaches of the nervous system; Stamets theorizes that this helps distribute the psilocybin and Lion’s Mane deeper into the brain and nervous system, enhancing their healing potential.
When is taking niacin not recommended:

  • Hypersensitivity to vitamin B3
  • Liver diseases
  • Ulcerus pepticum (ulcer of stomach and/or duodenum)
  • Gout
  • Alcoholism
  • Very low blood pressure
  • Decreased kidney function
  • Diabetes

Yes, we recommend the sweetspot journal app – its great and very easy to use!
